Sri Lanka should reach 100% institutional delivery level. It helps to further reduce the maternal and infant mortality. Sri Lankan mothers migrate foreign countries as housemaids to increase the economic condition of their families. This is one of the major income in Sri Lanka. But her children loose her protection. It directly effects to the child mortality and malnutrition. The government should introduce barriers to migrate women as housemaids, especially mothers who have small children. Sri Lanka should encourage to male workers to go abroad. It is necessary to introduce a pension scheme and health care system for the elders. Otherwise demographic transitions would be a financial problem in their families.
